The Weekend with Aric Adulting with Autism

Abouttheateam

Thursday was my usual workday. Kelly picked me up at 7:45 am. We went to the campground, and I clocked in. I got to work cleaning all the dishes. There were a lot of dishes. Must have been here. I worked until noon. Then I clocked out and grabbed my free slushy. We went to lunch. Then I spent the rest of the afternoon playing basketball at the community center. Kelly dropped me off at home. I watched movies on my iPad until we left for Primanti Bros. for dinner. It’s buy one get one free pizza on Thursday’s. Chad was our waiter. He knows us well. Our drinks just show up at the table. On Thursday’s, we don’t even have to order. He just puts the order in because it’s the same every Thursday. Pretty amazing. I got dessert at home. 2 Costco chocolate chip cookies and a cup of milk. I printed pictures on my computer and watched some movies until I went to bed.

Friday, I got to sleep in. I woke up around 8:30 am. For breakfast, I ate 2 pieces of leftover pizza and cranberry pomegranate juice. I showered and got dressed. I started packing my DVDs for this weekend’s camping adventure. Dad said 1 bag. Darn. I stuffed that one bag with as many DVDs as I could. It was overflowing. Dad and I packed up the car. We left for the campground around 12:30 pm. The weather was perfect. I was hanging out in my hammock by 1:30 pm. Dinner, for me, was hot dogs and vegetables on the campfire. For dessert, we made S’mores. The temperature dropped quickly. I went inside the camper van pretty early. Mom and dad stayed out by the fire a little longer. They ended up coming inside to watch the rest of the Phillies’ game. I watched movies until I went to bed.

Saturday and Sunday was full on camping mode. Both days, I spent most of the time in my hammock enjoying the outdoors. My breakfast, both days, was leftover pizza from Thursday. Lunch, both days, was raw veggies and pretzels. For dinner, dad cooked chicken, sweet potatoes, and veggies over the campfire. Saturday night, from 6 pm until 9 pm, we worked at our scary spot at the campground’s haunted trail. It was a blast!! This week, they had civil war ghosts walking around the woods firing their rifles. The loud bangs were scary for people. I laughed every time. After the haunted trail, we restarted the campfire and made s’mores. Sunday, we left the campsite after dinner. At home, I watched movies until I went to bed.

Monday morning, Kelly picked me up at 8 am. There is nothing scheduled on Monday’s. What I get to do is my pick. First, I picked Starbucks. I had my usual brownie and a tall hot chocolate. Kelly drove me to First Students busses to volunteer. The guys in the shop were having some deer bologna. They offered me a piece. I love bologna. I decided to have a taste. I loved it and asked for more. Next, I picked 2nd and Charles. I found 2 Blues Clues DVDs that I bought. We went to Chick-Fil-A for lunch. I ate my usual grilled chicken sandwich, fries, and a fruit punch. After lunch, we went to the community center to play some basketball. The last thing we did was go to the library. Kelly dropped me off at 3:30 pm. I went to my computer and started printing. All of a sudden, I ran out of ink. Dad said “we are getting burgers for dinner tonight. Where to you want to go to get a burger?” Then he named a bunch of restaurants. I picked Fuddruckers. I really like their burgers and they have a great fixin’s bar. I pile all that stuff on my plate. Mom was at a conference tonight. It was just dad and me. First, we went to Staples so I could buy some printer ink. Then we went to Fuddruckers. We finished eating and headed for home. I wanted dessert at home. 2 chocolate chip cookies and a cup of milk. yum. Dad and I put ink in my printer. It is printing pictures and watching movies until I go to bed. Now you know.
