A Weekend of Camping and Selling My Firestarters

A Weekend of Camping and Selling My Firestarters

Abouttheateam

Friday morning, Kelly picked me up and I went to my job at the Hersheypark campground.  I don’t usually work on Fridays.  This week, I was off Wednesday, so I switched my work day.  After work, we went to Panera Bread for lunch.  At Panera, I order a grilled cheese sandwich, apple, and ginger ale.  Then we went to the baseball field at Palmdale park to play dragon ball.  My version of kickball.  Then we headed home.  Kelly left around 4 pm.  It was time to go to the campground.  We arrived at dinnertime.  Mom and dad let me pick the menu for the weekend.  Friday night’s dinner was hot dogs, beyond burgers, and asparagus.  Mom and dad ate the beyond burgers.  I ate hot dogs.  For dessert, we made S’mores on the campfire.  I was tired and headed to my loft.  Eventually, we all went to bed around 11 pm.  Saturday morning I woke up around 9:00 am.  I ate breakfast.  My breakfast was a chocolate chip muffin and cranberry juice. In the barn, at the campground was a Mother’s day vendor show from 10 am until 2 pm. We reserved a table to sell Koring’s kindling, my fire starters.  Our inventory was about 10 boxes and some individual fire starters.  A box of 12 is $12.  We sell the individual ones 2 for $3. We sold almost all the boxes and a bunch of individual ones.  I think I made $92.  Pretty good considering how small the event was.  They work great.  If you want to buy some let me know.  After the show, we went back to the camper van.  Normally, dad would have started the campfire in preparation for cooking dinner.  Not tonight, we were invited to a birthday party at our friends camper right next to us.  There daughter was turning 3.  Parties like that aren’t enjoyable for me.  To big of a crowd.  I stayed at our camper and ate hot dogs.  I was perfectly happy just hanging out by myself while mom and dad went to the birthday party.  Mom spent a lot of time at the party holding twin babies.  We all went to bed around 11 pm.  Sunday morning, I woke up around 10 am.  Mom slept in as well.  It is Mother’s day.  For breakfast, I enjoyed a chocolate chip muffin and cranberry juice.  Mom opened her Mother’s day card/present from Ausitn, dad, and I.  We all chipped in and got her a 3 month carwash subscription.  That way she can keep her new jeep clean.  Everyday if she wants.  For lunch on Sunday I ate raw veggies and pretzels.  I spent the afternoon hanging out in my loft.  We stayed at the camper for dinner.  Dad cooked chicken, sweet potatoes, and mixed veggies on the campfire.  After dinner, we made S’mores for dessert.  Then we started packing up to go home.  It’s now a lot easier packing up because we just bought a permanent site.  At home, I printed some pictures on my computer before heading to bed.  Monday morning, Kelly was supposed to pick me up but she took the day off and is now coming Friday instead.  That meant I got to sleep in.  I woke up at 9:30 am.  My breakfast was a slice of leftover pizza and cranberry juice.  I spent most of the day on my computer.  For lunch, I enjoyed a slice of ham, pickles, and pickle juice.  For dinner, we went to Primanti Bros.  I had my usual burger, fries, and lemonade.  I decided I didn’t want Costco cookies for dessert.  I asked mom and dad if we could go to Dairy Queen for ice cream.  Mom didn’t want to go.  It was just dad and I.  We put the top down on speedy and off we went.  I ordered a chocolate ice cream cone.  Dad ordered a snickers blizzard.  I wanted to go through the drive thru and eat in the car.  Dad didn’t like that idea.  So we went inside.  After we finished eating, we headed home.  I sure do love riding in a convertible.  Now you know.
